Hi currently I am looking at a 2001 Nissan Sentra for my parents.

The car is a 2001 With 125 000KM’s.

The car is fully loaded minus leather seats and sunroof.

I was wondering why are they so cheap? And why do the deappreciate so quickly?

Are these solid, and economical cars?

I need this car to last long.

Do they have any problems, that I should be looking out for?

Overall I want to know if they are good cars?

Sentras and the sportier 200sx never had a good resale value

Its just not a very well known car

Never very well known, and the competitors were always slightly ahead of Nissan on these cars as far as refinement and creature comforts are concerned. That said, they’ve proven to be quite reliable long-term as long as their maintenance is kept up properly.
