never really introduced myself! heres a few pics of my past rides/projects.
i dont think ill ever miss this car or the manvan behind it. the van was my first car, then the tercel. i have a fellow nyspeeder to thank for the tercel and the headache it put me through.
next is my 99 ranger, my first attempt at ricing out a truck. lol flaaaame awaaaaaaay.
now i have my dd/winter ride…1996 grand gt coupe. pretty good condition, just hit 90k, no pics, ill get some later.
next and last is mine/ my dads 1986 na rx7. should getting a 350 small block as soon as the original 13b takes a dump on us. still runs like a charm though!
some work has been done since these pictures. ie. the rear wheels were flipped to match the front. lol
as for my own next project, im in the search for an unmolested non-running del sol. im a sucker for hondas, especially one with a targa top. well i hope you enjoyed this as much as i did typing it up. lol hope to see you guys at some meets over the summer.
whats up… yet again, it will be fun at work with your dad over the summer if you guys get that sbc in the rx7 :snky: but that rx7 is mad clean  and i get to see that lovely ranger everyday
im hoping it runs forever! but at the same time, i wish it would shit the bed so i can drop the sbc in it! as for the truck, its been in the family foooorrevvvvver. my brother bought it salvaged, drove it for a few years, sold it me and i beat the piss out of it. i then gave it to my dad since he helped me keep it running the few years i had it. lol
hey shit happens man, you live and learn. it was clean, but by no means a gem. i sold it and i made sure it went to someone who i knew would take good care of it. the car practically fell apart for me, i had nothing but problems with it when i had it.
i know the alternator died within the fist few days of ownership. then the lugs studs started to break off one by one and had to be replaced all around. then there was the incident where he was cut off and forced into a guardrail. oh yeah, there was also an idle surging issue from the beginning.
couldnt have put it better myself. the kid that sold it to me, failed to mention that the alternator was dead, he just threw a charge on it and dropped it off at my house on the day of sale. real classey  the car left me stranded at 9 pm of my FIRST day having it on the road.
yes i was cut off on the 400 and slid into a guardrail on wet roads.
the surging idle was a problem i could never fix, the person who bought it from me said that it was his 7th ef that he would own so far. he fixed the problem within 30 sec of the sale.
the matter of the lug studs all snapping was a life threatening issue, when my tire fell off on the thruway at 65 mph
see, broken hood latch, broken hatch latch. rust was starting to form in the rear quarters from a shitty paint job, also the hatch was starting to rot from the inside out.
i could go on forever, but thats beside the point, i guess you just live and learn and its just a part of owning a modded car, especially one from 1991.
