bump! PRICE DROP 22k OBO
Can you tell me how checking your oil level is the same asbeing able to see the oil pressure
oil pressure is just a different method of checking your oil…same principle as a dipstick VS. what the oil pressure gauge says…if your gauge is beeping @ idle than you have low oil pressure, and turn your car off immediately.
So if I have 1qt of oil and pressure is good i’m ok? What if I have 5 qts (or however much these take) and no oil pressure am I still ok? Is it one of the new gauges that measures flow along with psi and temp?
old picture of the interior when i bought it, it still looks just as clean but even better. Since then, I got STi floor mats to match the blue STi door cards.
not sure if serious
if you ever sell yours…
My dipstick doesn’t tell me if my oil pressure dips in a sharp turn or hard launch.
My oil was full when I left home until pressure dropped at the track the same night. Lost a main oil line connection. Good thing my pressure gauge warned me. Results without could’ve been much worse. Now I run two, just in case.
really mine does, you must not be checking it correctly.
Relax let him sell the car, he obviously doesn’t know a lot about it. Most likely built by someone else and he just paid the bill. GLWS and stop talking about the damn oil cause your making this thread worse.
is this a wrx swaped sti or was i reading wrong
Oh god. Good catch. I thought this was actually an STI by just skimming through/how the ad was written.
yes you are totally correct. its a WRX on the VIN but has a full sti swap. Interior, door cards, carpet, center console, gauge cluster, seats, sparco racing seats in front, JDM V7 6 speed, JDM V7 2.0 heads, (04 WRX’s come with a 2.0…this is a built 2.5), so yes its a hybrid build, R180 rear diff, axles, brembos, exterior, sti wing, front bumper cover with side splitters, sti fog covers, on top of that a build block with all supporting mods, you know how subarus are with their mods. you need 10x more than an EVO to make the same power, or more. on top of that the car has only 98k original miles, with a brand new motor, and on top of that if asking price is met, I will give 2 sets of wheels, one winter setup and one summer setup. Literally the only things that arent sti are the steering wheel and the hubs (5x100) Plus think about the money saved because you only pay WRX with all the STi goodies. Plus the curb weight of the 04 wrx is 3085 off the lot, and the 04 sti curb weight is 3263 off the lot…so i think you understand the benefits of having the WRX swap.
no biggie tho i will keep the car if no one wants to pay 22k for around a 13k car (KBB excellent), with 7k in the new motor, over 3k in two sets of wheels, and 20k in mods, for a total of 43k total for only 22k!! idk but seems like a good deal to me! statistics show that sellers only get 50% back of what they spend on their car, and it looks like only asking about half of whats put into her! lmao!
you guys are something else im not a kid for one, im 21 years old. I am an adult. stop thrashing this thread please.

I ovbiously just dont want to answer stupid questions like what does an oil pressure gauge do? I tried saying it in simple terms for the guy and I come back and look at my for sale thread which i hope was being bumpped buy interested buyers, instead i get this bull****.
Oil pressure gauge, what does it do? google search An oil pressure gauge can give you an excellent indication of the health of various systems in your engine. The key is to establish baseline readings when your engine is healthy, and then be aware of any changes you see over time. The oil pump takes in oil from the sump (oil pan), and forces it through the engine under pressure. Since the oil pump is driven (indirectly) by the crankshaft, oil pressure is to some extent determined by engine RPM.
^honestly? cant you just google like i did??? instead some person hops on a forsale thread asking what an oil pressure gauge does. WOW you guys are shot. thanks for ruining my thread.
END RANT.

NO? wtf
Im so confused but you realize that if your oil pump fails and you lose oil pressue thus gernading the motor and as long as an interanl part doesnt go for a ride through the block you can check the oil even after it blew up and the level will still show full on the dip stick.
good luck with sale, migth be tough though because most people with 22k cash layign around would probably buy something else and a bank will probably only loan like 10 or 11 on this. not trying to be an ass. you should have seen the headache i went through selling a 13k gti

Well for one I was defending you, and two you obviously haven’t learned from reading forums that arguing with people over the ignorant comments made in your for sale thread gets you no where. Just ignore them man. Every car sells, I’m sure you will sell it, probably not for what your looking for but it will sell. I am in the same boat, spent way to much on the car and its not gonna sell for what I want, be patient, and if you need the money then lower your price. The last thing I will say is that the comments you made about the oil pressure gauge being the same as checking your oil is not correct, you can be low on oil and still have good oil pressure, and if your low enough to effect the pressure well then its most likely too late anyways. And 21 is still a kid to most people on this site, wish I had enough money for a car like this at 21, anyways GLWS.
Posting on nyspeed and not thinking someone will bash you? Wow… Haha
