I have been plauged with a misfire problem for a few weeks now. The wideband has been reading around 10.5 idle, but then run’s around 12.5-14.7 in trottle and WOT. I was talking to dmdicks from Alpine, and he stated to another member of EXD that he believes the beta does not need colder plugs until 12psi +. I went out and bought stock plugs and kept them at the stock gap, .044 to see that the engine would do. I drove around for about five minutes to let the ecu learn some of the curves, and so far it has started to lean out, and stay around 12.5. If this happens again, could it be that the SMT may need some more fine tuning? HELP!
