I’m sorry but I do not want a president who refuses to salute the flag of the country which he wants to run, refuses to sing the national anthem of the country he wants to run, and who alignes himself with and downplays his relationship with known terrorists. Fuck that Jazz.
When has he said he wont salute the flag or sing the national anthem?
Seriously anyone who doesn’t agree with the “right” you guys automatically question thier patriotism.
Fuck that Jazz.
Well what do we have here?
More ignorant irony from the left.
You don’t want me to call him a commie but you can call me a retard?
This kind of reminds me of the typical limousine Liberal: I will tell you how to live but I myself am exempt from these rules.
It would be interesting to see your reaction if it was discovered that McCain had a fund raiser at a KKK house.
You guys are pathetic at best.
By the way Joe called me an ugly radical after I brought up ethnicity, religion and politics, ABC did a piece on it this morning I guess ABC is an ugly radical group.
Oh yeah and even CNN airs the truth about Ayers.
They did however fail to mention that Obama is quoted in Ayers book but, hell I am sure a lot of “neighbors” are quoted at random.
Fact; Obama is a lies about his ties to a terrorist.
I would think such an educated man would be familar with “the whole truth” idea.
^^^ You want to make an ASSumption out of what my reaction would be if McCain had once gone to a KKK house fundraiser be my guest.
You see I don’t question peoples patriotism unlike you. I admire John McCain, his service to our country I just disagree with him on what needs to be done.
You and the right have lost this election, and are throwing everything you’ve got at Obama in a last ditch effort to discredit his character.
And when it comes down to name calling. I can at least back up my claim that you might be possibly retarded by your posts. You on the other hand don’t even understand what communism means yet you throw the word out their like you are an expert.
Let me put it in dumb talk for you okay: You can not be an elitist and a communist at the same time, they are contradictory.
I’ll even break down the terms for you.
Communist: A person that believes in no true form of government but where everyone lives in a classless society. No one person having more authority over another. All land and property are owned collectively in a communal society. Everyone would have a job that was determined to them by the community. Ambition would be prohibited as much as possible, religion would be scrutinized because organized religion includes classes. Under communism there would be no state borders because borders are established by governments.
An Elitist: Believes that small groups of individuals, normally determined by either a large amount of education or experience should be in control of decision making for the “good” of the whole. Such decisions tend to benefit only themselves and to continue their status as the elite. The welfare of the general public is only recognized if it will benefit the elite.
Neither one of these match Barack Obama or John McCain.
If you want to test him on the issues fine, right now your attempts to bring him down are more pathetic then anything else.
Interesting facts on Chicago
Body count. In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago, 221 killed in Iraq.
Sens. Barack Obama & Dick Durbin, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., Gov. Rod Blogojevich, House leader Mike Madigan, Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan, Mayor Richard Daley…our leadership in Illinois…all Democrats. Thank you for the combat zone in Chicago. Of course they’re all blaming each other. Can’t blame Republicans…they’re aren’t any!
State pension fund $44 billion in debt, worst in country. Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25%, highest in country. (Look’em up if you want). Chicago school system one of the worst in country. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois. He’s gonna ‘fix’ Washington politics?
Oh shit, I never knew that Obama was responsible for crime. I’m going to change my vote.
Last time I checked, as a community organizer he tried to help people in Chicago. And I doubt you can find many people in Chicago who worked with Obama that would say he was a reason why crime is so bad.
What have republicans tried to do to help the problem and I don’t just mean politicians, what have average American republicans tried to do to help crime ridden streets of our cities? I don’t see any republicans as community organizers in downtown Buffalo. And I bet if I did a search I wouldn’t find anything about a community organization in any major city run by a republican.
Have you or any of your righty buddies tried to help out with crime by maybe volunteering your time to a cause in the city like cleaning street, planting trees, working with kids?
PS: Church run organizations don’t count.
PSS: Nice to see you can’t respond to my last post, but simply try to change the subject. Thats right out of the republican playbook.
.
Oh, hey, did I mention that Obama’s wife and Ayers wife worked at the same law firm in the 1980s?
I know, I know, it is just another one of those crazy coincidences.
Funny huh?
Maybe they should change their slogan from “change” to “coincidence”.
Ayers recieved money from Republicans

The more the McCain campaign tries to tie Barack to William Ayers, the more ridiculous they look. But hey-- at least the economy is doing well! After his stupid, youthful days with the Weather Underground organization, William Ayers became a normal, productive member of society. After recieving his PhD in the 1980’s, he became a professor of education at the University of Illinois, wrote 15 books, and served as an advisor to Chicago Mayor William Daley. As Daley told the New York Times recently, “He’s done a lot of good things in this city and nationally… This is 2008. People make mistakes. You judge a person by his whole life.”
In 1995, Bill Ayers was part of a team that helped create the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an education reform project that worked with half of Chicago’s public schools. Barack Obama, then working as an attorney and law school professor, was elected chairman of the eight-member board of the CAC. The board included individuals of diverse political backgrounds, including Ray Romero, the President of Ameritech; Stanley Ikenberry, the former President of the University of Illinois; and Republican Arnold Weber, who had served in the Nixon White House.
Arnold Weber-- Republican. Donated to John McCain. Worked with William Ayers
In their best efforts to portray Barack as out of the mainstream, some on the right have tried characterizing the Chicago Annenberg Challenge as a dangerous fringe organization. What they do not discuss is the fact that the CAC was funded by a foundation belonging to Walter Annenberg, the billionaire Republican philanthropist who served as Richard M. Nixon’s ambassador to the U.K. Annenberg and his wife, Leonore, gave the CAC $50 million in the 90’s.The Annenbergs-- Republicans. Bankrolled William Ayers with $50 million
But Walter and Leonore weren’t just giving money to educational foundations started by William Ayers. They were also giving hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Republican National Committee and various other Republican groups, as well as to a whole host of Republican candidates, including the following:
George W. Bush $4000
Mitt Romney $5000
Strom Thurmond $1000
Fred Thompson $500
Rick Santorum $3000
Rick Santorum-- former Republican Senator. Received $3000 from Ayers’ backers.
Why would billionaire Republican philanthropists give millions of dollars to a program that was working with William Ayers? Why would George W., Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson and all those other Republicans accept money from the people who were funding this William Ayers-associated group? Why won’t McCain discuss these connections between the Republican Party and Ayers? Here’s the icing on the cake: just yesterday, the McCain campaign put out a press release bragging about the fact that Leonore Annenberg has endorsed him for president. Yes, you heard it-- a McCain backer bankrolled William Ayers with millions of dollars.
More icing: You know that Republican Arnold Weber I mentioned earlier? The one that served on the board of the CAC with Barack? Not only did he work with William Ayers in the 90’s, he has also donated at least $1000 to the McCain campaign. That’s right-- McCain is accepting money from associates of William Ayers, and so far has not given the money back.
I’m feeling a little cheated. Months ago I was promised an October surprise. It’s already October 9th, and all I’ve heard is that Barack knows a guy who’s been working with McCain supporters and Republicans since the mid 90’s.
Hey I’m all about charity but where did that money go? Because I tried looking up CATS Charity and I didn’t find any information. And if it didn’t go to helping out youth in the city to help prevent crime then thats great in all but it doesn’t count.
Also not that I’m against charities but my point was that I don’t see many republicans going into the city and volunteering their time.
Yes I have volunteered my time. Yes I have planted a tree to make a city park look better. I have painted walls to get the graffiti off of it (and yes its still clean.) I have worked with Americorp (not joined just helped) with students after school at Herman Badillo Bilingual Academy. I’m not trying to brag, but you did connect Democrats with crime and since Obama is a democrat then your linking him with crime.
Oh I guess this make me one of the bleeding heart hippies in your eyes.
PS: I don’t ignore Obamas negatives, I just don’t stretch the truth to meet my prejudices.
:fry: I guess this means McCain supports terrorism!
I’ve been trying to stay out of this thread since it went to shit, but some things I simply have to point out.
Ok, I think most of us here agree another stimulus is stupid, but you’re going to vote democrat anyway. Great. But please, just read this part and think about it when you walk into that voting booth:
Rep. Barney Frank, D-Massachusetts and the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said government jobs were one of the few bright spots in the economy.
“The only good sign on jobs for the year has been that state and local governments have been adding jobs, which only mildly offset the great loss in the private sector,” Frank said. “If we do not go to the aid of state and local governments now, they will now become an added factor to the job loss rather than something of a mitigating factor.”
Ok, so while everyone from the low income family to the biggest corporation is making cuts Barney Frank thinks it’s, “a bright spot”, that government is continuing to spend more of your tax dollars by expanding and hiring more people. This is the mindset you’re voting for. They won’t be happy until we’re all either on public assistance or working for the government, which is well on it’s way to basically being a public works project.
ya know, part of me really hopes he does win just so I can say “I told ya so”
…As the Republican government is now going to nationalize the banks. In times of need, both sides move more and more toward socialism. (New Deal, this) In prosperity, everything goes laissez faire on both sides. (Roaring 20’s, GLB act of 1999) No one has the foresight to find a happy medium, they’re all about maximizing the short term.
Here is the link, I hope it meets your approval…
PS I Never pre-judge anyone. If you look back you will probably find a post where I considered Obama.
Wow, the Anchorage Daily News is roasting their own.
Sarah Palin’s reaction to the Legislature’s Troopergate report is an embarrassment to Alaskans and the nation…Palin’s response is the kind of political “big lie” that George Orwell warned against. War is peace. Black is white. Up is down.
http://www.adn.com/opinion/view/story/555236.html
So she got her ex-brother-in-law fired from the troopers. Whatever. But what a media disaster she’s turned out to be for McCain. I’m still surprised that nobody from the McCain campaigned has arranged for her to have an “accident.”
How about the fact that the Economy can be traced back WAYYY before the Bush adminstration.
When Jimmy Carter was president he started pushing for Subprime mortgages to get more people with low income into more Affordable housing, Fannie Mae guaranteed banks that if they gave out a subprime mortgage that the federal goverment would gurantee it.
Now fast forward a few years into the Clinton Administration where he gave the subprime home situation a swift kick in the ass and made mandates for banks to hand out more and more subprime mortgages, and if they didnt Fannie mae and the Feds would sue the bank, They sued Citibank.
If you find a housing chart from the 90’s that shows home prices, home prices suddenly skyrocketed in 1997, 2 years after clinton started his big push on subprime mortgages, it created an artificial bubble, that eventually was going to burst.
This severe de-regulation of the way mortgages were being handed out and that the goverment was guaranteeing all the money so that the banks had nothing to worry about seemed like a great plan.
Guess who saw the problem coming, in 2002 the bush administration attempted to re-regulate the mortgage situation, it was voted down because fannie mae had friends in congress and in the senate.
Now in 2005, someone again decided that it needed to be re-regulated, oh right, John McCain co-sponsored the bill, but again it was shot down.
Then when Fannie mae imploded, all of its guarantees were worthless and banks were out billions and billions, and were on the brink of shutting down.
The 700 billion dollar fix it plan, is to save the banks, Citibank, Chase, WaMu, HSBC, etc.
Dont forget when our economy goes down, so does the rest of the worlds.
A few people saw it coming and tried to help, but the people with their golden parachutes and the people making money of this bubble waiting to burst, wouldnt let anyone stop it.
I add this link to support my post with all the bills and information you can look up and show that its not all a bunch of hot water and bullshit
Its all factual information.
Don’t forget Janet Reno in there.
Or Janet Sterno as I like to call her since she burned up Waco.
She pretty much threatened banks into loaning money.
because there goes his democratic “mom” votes. He’s in a tough spot right now… I bet he’s kicking himself for taking the advice to pick her as VP
let me know if this situation sounds familiar to you and if you can relate it to today.
