I wasn’t really talking about your post in specific… just everyone’s attitude lately
can’t wait for the stupid election to be over and done with, regardless who wins it

Biden is much younger than McCain, wasn’t a POW and hasn’t had cancer 3 times
bet he’s thought about doing “it” though, if ya know what I mean
Which reminds me… WHY HAVEN’T WE SUSPENDED MARK TO MARKET ACCOUNTING ON THESE?
It’s complete garbage that they have to record all these securities as 0 value on their books. They are mortgage backed, and the vast majority of those mortgages are being paid. Suspending mark to market was part of the republican alternative plan to the bailout but since the bailout passed I haven’t heard a word about it.
Don’t take my word for it though:

EDIT:
I’m guessing this got dropped because it’s one of those issues that is over the heads of most undecided voter morons (it doesn’t have the words “tax cut” or “health care” anywhere in it) so none of the politicians care about it, despite it being something that could really make a difference in the recovery.
It’s because the rating agencies are fucking retarded
As much as I believe Obama is right on the issues of the debate, McCain def won.
Obama never got angry or showed emotion and he had to do it. He maintained his cool too much.
McCain was showing his anger sometimes a little too much but thats what needed to be done tonight and he did it.
I actually disagree on that one…if anything it reinforced my vote in Obama!
STroked: Cuz he’s a Maverick!
I’d rather have someone who can take heat from someone and not get all pissy and foster escalation…think logically & clearly, not with testosterone.
funniest part of the debate tonight for me was
Obama: “Even FOX news said it!”
Crowd: L O L
McCain: “oooooo” Face
werd Toda, you could see McCain starting to lose his composure imho
not in love with obama…but it is soo easy to dislike mccain. with his smug smiles, condescension. responses are all about “that guy” and deflection rather than actually answering a question. he comes off like your jerky uncle who’s thinks he’s smarter than you, cause he’s got “the scars”. after a while, you don’t even give a crap about what he’s saying. his accusations come off like an angry senile swatting imaginary flies.
At least Obama finally talked about the stupid $5k health credit. Meaningless if the healthcare costs double that. Obama could have “brung it” a little better though.
Yeah, I wasn’t overly impressed with Obama’s performance compared to his earlier debates, but McCain just came off as going way too far the other way against every criticism he had from the previous debate. People complained he left early, so he stood around making goofy faces when the debate ended. WTF was up with that. He was hostile and arrogant, kept trying to interrupt Obama, and got visibly flustered. I think the best way to sum up his personality tonight was snarky. Apparently the people agree. 58%-33% say he won the debate and his favorables went up 3 points. McCain’s UNfavorables went up 4%.
I thought Obama missed his chance when they asked if Palin was qualified to be President and he said that “That’s up to the American people to decide”, then McCain attacked Biden. All he had to do was mention the recent polling numbers that say overwhelmingly that Biden is qualified to be President and Palin is qualified to go back on the moose hunt.
But seriously, talking about joe the plumber who somehow makes 250k a year cleaning shit 25 times and whining about mean campaign ads? from both sides? STFU.
lol jet thats a funny comparison
i think obama not taking a shot at palin was prolly a good thing…shows he’s trying to keep it clean…u never know when the fembot dykes will get pissed about another pig man putting down a woman and then estrogen-ly voting McCain ya know. I kid ladies. Not really.
I think CBS actually got Joe the plumber on the phone towards the end but had to cut him off. I’m sure the media will have details on his call transcripted. Its on CBS webcast now apparently.
Where are these guys getting their avg healthcare figures that they are so off?
Mccain said 5800/yr on avg, Obama said something like 12k on avg…wtfzorz
your right, that is the one time in that debate that i DID wish obama would have went on the offensive…he could have grilled her pretty bad. but in that sense he may have gained some respect from people who were on the fence, since it kinda went hand in hand with the whole negative ad question
i just hate the dumb broad and most of her views.
I’ve seen 12k as the figure from the NY Times. But this is a writeup from Business Week that also mentions it:
http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/content/oct2008/db20081013_312433.htm
And something I learned from the article, never mentioned by dracula…the $5k credit is for a family. It would be $2.5k for an individual. Interesting how he never clarifies that.
That McCain’s a sneaky d-bag. “Ayers said recently ‘I wish I had bombed more.’”
Fail. He said “I wish I had done more.” Not bombed more. Big difference.
Not that it matters. It has nothing to do with anything.
So who thinks Obama will actually accomplish any sort of socialized health care when he’s president? I’m thinking not so much.
So how exactly is mccain gonna balance the budget in 4 years? L O F’ing L.
Over promise, under deliver. It’s the American political tradition.
You might want to read the entire interview with ayers. Yes, his quote said “done” but I’m almost positive it was in response to being asked if he was sorry about the bombings.
As for the people saying McCain looked smug, were you even looking at Obama? Several times while McCain was talking Obama was laughing with a big smile. Honestly, I don’t care because I can understand that neither of them are friends at this point but it’s another example of Obama supports extremely tinted views of everything.
McCain got big points with his, “if you wanted to run against Bush you should have ran 4 years ago” line where he explained the differences.
Linking Hoovers tax increases during a recession to Obamas similiar plan and this time actually explaining that was how we got into the depression was good too.
Overall I think this was the only debate McCain has won. Doubt it will be enough though, especially with the money Obama is spending.
