A friend of my and his band are playing at Olcott Beach. Has anyone been there?
Is it a “beach” like Mickey Rats or Sunset? Sand and nice water… etc.
lol I have never been to Olcott in the day… everytime i go the town and everything is closed … but from what i have seen its small but a fun looking town
If you’re looking for an hour ride into a “nothing’s to do here” town, go for it!

My GF is originally from Burt, NY which is right down the road from Olcott. There isn’t a ton to do there but it’s a nice area, the beach itself is pretty decent and there are some pretty cool views. There’s also a harbor area with some pretty good restaurants and and bars 
make sure you wear your chaps or you’ll be the outcast
I go to Olcott once a year. They have a yearly car show that gets 800+ cars. This year it is on August 30th (Saturday).
It’s pretty nice out there to just go and relax.
I think they also do Saturday night cruise nights down there too.
ya, that show is always good. too bad its on my wedding day this year :meh:
Im still trying to get off for the show, other then that its boring. Sunset is the place.
So is there actually sand to lay on and just relax?
It’s much more…um…rustic than Sunset. If you like to chill without a huge crowd it’s great.
it was closed last week, a front end loader was moving sand around and they had it all taped off…
As far as a beach? lol more like a spot on the lake with rocks, a little bit of sand and lots of seaweed.
