The 4th of July weekend is a big deal in my little town. It’s the biggest social gathering of the year in the park, at the parade, and at the local bar. For the last few years, a local band that moved to CA comes back on the 4th of July weekend and plays a show. The bar gets VERY crowded for this, and often times fills to maximum capacity. That was the case tonight, and on intermission, a lot of people went outside to smoke. I was not watching the band, nor was I outside smoking, but I was outside and getting fresh air when the crowd came outside to smoke…

I was standing where the trash can is when the deck fell through. I fell a slight rumble, and then it came down. It will be talked about forever in my little town!
