ONIJDM.com - Nissan GTR35 - First Look

We had the honour to spend some time with the latest GTR incarnation courtesy of the folks at Nissan Canada and Laurance Yap.

We jumped at the chance to see and feel the car first hand and compare it to our GTR-32’s…

There’s no question; the car is gorgeous! It has to bee seen in person to be appreciated; it is worthy of being called a GTR.

According to the marketing reps; the car IS NOT speed/power limited like the Japanese versions and will probably retail for $81K… Not bad for what you get; the auto shifting is also very quick and precise.

First impressions is that the car is bigger than you would think; it’s quiet compared to our tuned GTR’s; but has just the right amount of grumble to tell you there’s something potent laying under the hood.

The lines flow very well and it has the tradmark tail lights. Sitting in the car; everything feels right and is very driver friendly; the touch screen computer contains a wealth of info similar to the R34 GTR.

It’s late so I’ll write more about it later; video’s to come… Enjoy!

Ahhh the good ole 7/weston Timmies.
The attention that car must have received was probably unreal. Ill wait until my uncles dealership gets them in to go have a look

nice!

did you drive or ride in it?

so mitch when are you ordering one ?

It feels SO good to see that thing here, plated, in all of it’s left-hand drive glory!

I read Laurence Yap’s articles a fair bit haha.

i can’t really tell, is that a cop car infront of the r32-gtr on the left most side of the last picture?

Talk about favoritism! The “press cars” aren’t available until Summer…gee I wonder if Yap will have the jump on an article? haha.

Meh can’t moan too much already been in the JDM version.

Definitely looks like one.

Yes we were very lucky to get this opportunity with the GTR; the shoot attracted about 6 cruisers; they were all very cool and checked out the car themselves!

there was 2 cop cars chillin there. one of them sat in the GTR

there wasn’t too large of a crowd because not too many people knew about it.

maybe like 20 people in total looking at it.

I would have asked for the cops business card and permission to drop names if I got pulled over!

But then again, I guess they already were cool not hassling cars with cages, 500hp and sketchy emissions…

LOL! I thought the flames shooting out of the exhaust helped emissions! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, that what I tell them. The intense 4-foot RB flames actually incinerates harmful greenhouse gases.

and whatever else is lurking behind your car.

fresh car, good to see it here

Yeah there was a kid in a Mazda3 following too close that learned the hard way :-p

Fire your photographer… jeez

Couple nice shots though… to many ruined by the blurrrr.

i was takin the photos, maybe you could give me some pointers?

Damn you guys!!! I just got pics of one I think its the same one because the guy was telling me they were with a bunch of skylines and shit. You ruined my thread that I was going to make lol.

wow you guys are lucky lol
