need a black drivers rear door for my honda element… and before you recommend someplace local you bought a civic bumper or some shit from no one local that i could find has an element. so i’m going to have to go out of state and pay to ship the bastard. any recommendations? been looking online and doing website searches but have only found one so far that i’m awaiting a reply from…
thanks

ebay? find a junk yard that parts newer cars and send them a message.

been doing this all night. emailed a dozen+ yards, not many of these stupid things wrecked and being parted out sadly. only thing that comes up for used honda element door are used car dealers. the search continues.
www.car-part.com
one of my fevorite sites for parts.
car-part.com has a bunch of doors on it. However black is a bit of a rarity.

I just saved my friend about $1200 bucks that way.
found one black rollover element on car-part, said it was good to be skinned… which is where i’m already at sadly. yard gave me a few phone numbers to call…
made contact with someone in troy via uneedapart.com who is going to get me a picture of the black door they have. we shall see!
thanks everyone
car-part.com… sucks…
did a nation wide search, sent out 150+ emails and parts requests and expected maybe 50% reply and got less than 3%. lame…
why dont you just skin it? its not that hard.
well it is if you have never done it before. I can do it for you if you want. and my buddy has his garage set up to paint. it can be done in a weekend.
the suicide door is a much more involved skin, 8+ hours flat rate to put the skin on… back edge is a plane jane pinch, the front jam has all the latch horse shit that’s all tied into the inner structure… new shell is $580 retail, insurance quality door is $450 shipped, trying to pinch one for under $400
