who do you guys use to order JDM market Nissan parts?
I recently placed an order with ___________ Nissan for;
S15 - 6speed - shifter control housing
S15 - 6speed - throw out bearing
S13 - SR20DET-Pilot busing…
^that is what the request read, the response was no problem…
they shipped;
S13 - 5-speed - shifter control housing
S13 - 5-speed throw out
S13 - needle bearing pilot bushing (not brass)…
send an email saying there has been a mistake, and the parts guy tells me no thats what I asked for and had him look up,
to which i respond, all emails are attached, look back to the original request…
If I needed any parts for my jdm cars I called Rick @ Bradford Nissan, he had a conversion program to give him part numbers from japan. his number is 1-519-756-7499. only downfall is you will need a vin#
I work at Alta Nissan Woodbridge, if you can find the part numbers, I can order whatever you want, so long as it’s still in production.
We don’t have the JDM version of the FAST program (Nissan parts reference program) at our location, but Maple Nissan does (I used to work there too, lol) ask for Edison, he should be able to help you out if you don’t have part numbers.
You have to give these guys part numbers, most canadian dealers have access to the japanese parts list just don’t know how… the other option is places like rightdrive that already deal with sourcing jdm parts daily
Rightdrive goes through Maple Nissan for their parts, lol.
Also, not all dealers have access to the JDM parts lists, woodbridge for example doesn’t (trust me, I’ve looked extensively through the parts department’s computers for it). Some choose to install them, some don’t.
Even if they do have it, it depends on how lazy the guy behind the counter is feeling that day as to if they will help you or not…
I can try, but I’m gonna need payment up front before I order anything. Just so you know, kouki tails are pretty pricey new, if I remember correctly they’re somewhere in the neighborhood of $6-700, but I’ll check later.
