lot of the info comes from paint supplier. every paint is different
every brand is different. Prob the best set is to talk to your local paint supplier
wow, you have the worst luck with the hood on that car lol
as for the tips and tricks it is more less learned. once you get your hands on it you will have better understanding.
you can only learn bodywork by doing it. take a lot of time and patience. Motorcycle parts are easier. i just painted one a couple weeks ago.
no body work needed just changing paint color on the new suzuki c50. Would I have to just scuff the parts and base coat clear coat or prime them first?
if you are just changing color you can scuff it, seal it, then base/clear it.
as for prep is there a lot of curvy pieces? if not use 4or 600 grit wet/dry paper and a sanding block to prep it. if their is a lot of curvy pieces use grey scrotchbrite pads and Final Sand(sanding paste) make sure and use the palms of your hands and not your fingertips or otherwise you will have finger sanding marks in the paint.
one thing important is make sure their is not grease or wax on anything. cleanliness with body work is key. make sure their is nothing on your hands or parts. grease is your worst enemy when it comes to paint.
