Painting Engine Bay

Just mixed my paint a few days ago and once I get this guys Talon out of the garage and finish my civic I can finally work on a Nissan. I will be stitch welding the front end a bit and welding up every damn hole that is unnecessary. Then I will paint the bay so it wont look like a blue piece of shit. I’m thinking of using some stainless sheeting to dress her up a bit too for the firewall and the rad support. Here is the before pictures and once I finish I will post the aftermath :lol: I also picked up more than enough wire so I can finish up my harness and anything else electrical. Hope you like.

Here is just the base coat of black over the primer. The only reason I didnt have to use a sealer is because the entire engine bay is consistant with the grey primer and with 2 coats of black pollybase you wont see any fading through the paint.

Here are the finished pictures of black pollybase with clear. Looks awsome. I did it im the garage no problems, ANYONE can do this.

Posted a few more pictures up top. Just got primer on it and now just have to sand to 400 and paint the top coat. This booth I made workes awsome!!! Enjoy

Sweet…practice up on your car cause in less than 2 weeks you have to do mine.

Posted finished engine bay. Looks damn good. Now just too afraid to put all that dirty shit back in. I have lots of cleaning to do.
