That is the wrong frame to be building a fixie with. Look for a old steel frame.

Well no crap DA or SR would have looked great on that bike, find me a bike it wouldn’t look good on. Have you priced Sram Red lately, it makes my Dura Ace seem reasonable. The shifters alone are $700 something. Personally I would have gone with a different set of wheels that complement the frame a bit better. Those Mavics would look great on a lugged frame. Not pooh poohing on your build or anything. Now, put a rudder on it, some pon toons, and maybe you will be able to ride it this week. I’m at 2 days without a ride and I’m starting to loose it.

I just wonder if I would like the single sweep action for shifting with the SRAM. I ride with a few people that have SRAM Red and they said it took some getting used to. The one guy said that he shifted the wrong way going up a hill before he got used to the shifters. Campy just came out with 11spd rear cassettes.
Dura-Ace is like NO differance from ultegra… its saves 40 grams, and has nickel finish as opposed to the polished alum/clear coat that the ultegra has… not really worth the differance
the new DA 7900 is pretty cool though… not worth the price, as it costs more then a new SMG tranny for my car… but cool none the less

I will probably pickup the new dura ace CF shifters and rear derailleurs when they start appearing on ebay/used for people who upgrade to the electronic stuff
The electronic stuff is the DUMBEST thing I have ever heard. The slogan is “For when you are too tired to shift.” Yeah, becuase if I am SOOO tired that I can’t shift, i’m going to not be turning the pedals. But, people will buy it.
yea, its cool… i guess if i was buying a new group, the 500 dollar premium over the non electric stuff would make me think about it… but i only like it because of the nerd factor, and not having to trim the big ring…
I could see if you were doing a crit race, and had to shift into the big gear, and back out of it a whole bunch of times, having to concentrate on sprinting while trying to trim the front ring would be annoying…
the fact that all the pro riders are saying they love it, and have to have it doesnt surprise me, considering they havnt paid for their own piece of equipment in years…
the guts to this thing are SOOO cheap, its a wonder that shimano/other bike companies can sleep at night sometimes for charging what they do for components
