pens beat devils 4-3 in overtime

PENGUINS BEAT THE DEVILS 4-3 IN OVERTIME! COMPLETE OWNAGE OF THE NHL IS INEVITABLE!!! :eek2:

sorry…a little excited…

discuss?

first win?

first on the road…second overall

however…not a typical fairweather pittsburgh fan here…they could lose all goddamn season and i’d still watch every game i could and listen to the rest on the radio at work…so happy to have hockey back

same here man. they actually played a pretty good game tonight. they just need to work on their game in the last 5-7minutes of the 3rd.

yeah…blowing that game the other night, giving up a 3-1 lead with four goals scored against them in 4 minutes…just sloppy hockey, IMHO…

ya gotta admit tho. blowin the lead at the end of the 3rd and goin to overtime had to have you guys nervous, lol. i know i was thinkin ‘oh shit, not again’. great tho. i dont care i love our team no matter what. i hope whitney and christensen stay up to, cause i like those guys.

damn… missed it.

they still need alot of work

Edzo is KILLING us with his late 3rd period strategy. He goes into a shell and tries to protect the lead, but we’ve got to remember that we have no stalwart defensive defensemen… For this Penguins team, the best defense is a good offense… I’m convinced if we would have stayed on the attack against Carolina and NJ last night we would have won before getting to OT

agreed. this team doesnt protect a lead well at all. keep the pressure on but play smart, would be what i would preach when in the lead. no lead is safe really in the current state of the league. especially with the way man-advantages can swing a game. gotta stay on the attack and always pressure the other team, but at the same team be smart about it.

all i can say is 6-0 record 955 save % and a 1.71 GAA why the hell dont they bring flurey up.cant they see he will take up to the cup

the AHL is not the NHL.
Plus he is seeing way more defensive support on the baby pens than he would ever see in pittsburgh.
i would like to see him get some time though. its not like we’d be throwing away a perfect season by giving him some experience

that’s what i’ve been sayin to. i guess it’s still waaaay to early for us to be calling it a lost season, but he should see some time with the big club this year, just for more exposure, i’m not sayin he HAS to stay with the club but he should see some games.

My question is what are they going to do with Thibault? This is 3 games in a row that he hasn’t started.

i’ve heard there is a contract claus that will pay him a signifigantly greater amount of money if he sees X amount of games. i dont know what the numbers are though. i think theyre just trying to save a buck.

hang him!!!

a pittsburgh team tryin to save money at the expense of their record i’ve never heard of such a thing :eyesrolling:

thibalt has had 3 years with very little play and I am sure he is just rusty. get him some good presure in practice and do a lot of extra work and he can come back and do well.

for the time being caron is doing well and fleury is a back up in situations that if they need him they will call him.

seems to me the AHL players they brought up did very well though last night. we will see tomorrow against a team that isn’t last in their division
