That only hurts the consumer. I agree that pep boys is a shitty store, but one less store in the Buffalo market leaves us with higher prices and less selection.

Also competition in the market is a constant flowing entity and would be absorbed. Consumer in this capitalist society will be fine.

My .02 on this whole thing is pepboys sucks. They’re mostly over priced and never have anything I need in stock. If I’m worried about the price I’ll bring in rockauto receipts and may them price match. That end up being MUCH more than 10%

It’s noteworthy because senior & military discounts are available year round and often not advertised as their not really meant to drive business but rather build customer loyalty / respect. It’s more PR than anything.

I think it does matter, my point being that if you aren’t, fuck yourself. If you are, even if you don’t use the discount, don’t you think it’s a little tacky to cut “margin losses” by taking away the military discount? Serving to protect freedom apparently does not mean anything these days.

as i said before… a military discount is not something mandatory. it’s a gesture, from pep boys, to say thanks. It costs them money to do so. If they only want to do it during certain times, that’s fine, it’s still better than most places that don’t even offer one at all
