Thought I’d share this here since we have plenty of pet lovers on the site. The girlfriend dog and I will be doing this next weekend (probably walking lol), it’s for a good cause!

Join us on Saturday, April 13, 2013 for Peppertree Rescue’s 6th Annual Furry Fun Run at the Warming Hut at Saratoga Springs’ Avenue of the Pines! Runners and walkers with two legs or four (or three!) are welcome! Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and the race will begin at 9:15 a.m.
Last year we had almost 200 participants and raised over $7,000. This year our goal is to break $10,000, with $5,000 in fundraising. Will you help us? This year it will be easier then ever! Peppertree is very excited to offer online fundraising this year. So not only can you download our fundraising form and collect in person, you can do it all online as well! Remember, all registrants who raise over $100 will get their registration fee refunded, and the top two fundraisers will receive prizes, including a custom collar from Bull In A Collar Shop for the Top Fundraiser!
Pre-register for the 6th Annual Furry Fun Run through Active.com, donate to the Fun Run or start your own fundraising page for Peppertree, download our fundraising form or the course map.
Pre-registration is available at two prices, $25 registers you to walk or run, $30 registers you to walk or run and gets you our 6th Annual Furry Fun Run shirt. Registration is also available starting at 8 am on the day of the event for $30, and does not include a t-shirt.
Prizes will be awarded to the fastest male runner, the fastest female runner, and the fastest runner with dog, as well as the top two fundraisers. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in all categories. All pre-registrants will receive a goody bag.
Event rules are as follows:
- The registration fee is $25 per person for pre- registers without a shirt, $30 for pre-registers with a shirt, $30 for day of registration.
- The registration fee is waived if you have more than $100 in pledges. Pre-registration fees will be refunded the day of the race.
- There is a maximum of two dogs per person, please leave aggressive dogs at home.
- We reserve the right to turn away dogs (or people) who cannot get along with others.
- Dogs must be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations.
- You must control your dog at all times, no retractable leashes or leashes over 6 feet.
- Please pick up after your dog.
- If a runner/walker is under 18 they must be accompanied by an adult and have a parent/guardian sign the waiver.
