I was in a Sheetz & a Getgo today & couldn’t find any ‘throwback’ products. Is it packaged differently?

Yes the label is different… I found it at every Sheetz and GetGo I stopped at, usually in the little cooler up front
ya i tried it. had it at the KSE/Disturbed show last week and then got some at sheetz. its ok, but as with their reg energy drink, not worth the money.

I do not think that’s the problem. the problem is with sugar and govt limiting it that’s why they went to fructose
i thought it had to do with shelf life and cost,
I know it costs more but the govt controls sugar
It goes something like the sweeteners used in soda no is corn based not suger.
the govt is putting limitation on the amount of sugar we can import to use corn from the us. also the tax on sugar is sky high

it has nothing to do with shelf life. HFCS is cheaper, which is why its in EVERYTHING.

Tried the Pepsi today. The 1st swig from the bottle, and I was like…‘That’s what I remember Pepsi tasting like’. After a few more mouthfuls, it really isn’t much different. Kind of an odd aftertaste (after a while). I’ll try the Mt Dew tomorrow.
tried it last night. i agree with sixspeed ^^ the first taste was a little different, and also the after taste. but i really didnt notice much of a difference. still, i think it was good.
i found it too at sheetz. the mountain dew seems flat as soon as you open it, and both leave an after taste. they do taste better than the regular recipies though.
that’s the whole thing about it… the throwback IS the original recipe, back when sugar wasn’t the devil.
The wife found a case of the Mt Dew. It’s pretty good. I’ve been a Mt Dew fan for a long ass time, and I never considered it a citrus soda. The throwback tastes a little like a concentrated Sprite.
