My uncle has a 1976 Harley Davidson Sportster 1000cc that he just got running again and I wanted to buy him some upgrades for his birthday come November but I have no idea where to begin to find this kind of stuff for such an old bike. (I know I know, google search but my results did not give me anything for a bike of that year or any bike specific parts.)
Any suggestions? (Also willing to take suggestions for actual parts to buy him)

Seriously? Junk that thing. It’s a 1976 Sportster. It’s an iron headed pig. Upgrade him to something else. It’s worth a 1000 maybe.

Danny is a good guy but he’s the rep and not the one to call persay. Try Steve’s Custom Cycle in Lockport if you really want to get older parts for it. They have tons of shit for those things in stock…but not by choice.
This is a bike he has had since the 70s, sorry but it isn’t just junk to him. Thanks for the wonderful advice though.
Get in touch with the hog farm or redline… I’m sure my dad had some parts sitting around, but my brother either used them or broke 'em.
Does it have an open primary? I have a brand new 3in 138 tooth primary belt I have no use for seeing I’m running a 144
