How does this work…sometimes i get it to work, sometimes it doesnt. What is the step by step process to get the brush to work?

well first of all , id deff add a new layer so you do not destroy the entire image… and whats photoshop 3? you dont have CS or CS2?

i am adding a new layer…and yes its 3
