Been eying that spot for a while quattro. Just never got around to bringing my camera that way.
Yeah its definitely a nice view, I’d like to see what you or others would come up with shooting from the same spot. A lot of different ways to photograph that scene.

You can get more elevation than the holiday inn. Take the road across rt 4 from the sports grill entrance and take your very next left. There is a clearing at the apex of the hill.

There’s a short dead end road by the sports bar too that has a view. I drove around there one night looking for an overlook of the city to shoot a car on.
Nope, thompson hill road. It’s really too bad there is nothing closer to Albany, it would be a much better background if you could actually get some buildings in the picture instead of little tiny blips behind a car.

Was out doing inspection work on my job site in Stillwater and snuck up on a baby deer who proceeded to play dead. Got within 2 feet of it. Normally these little guys are pretty skiddish, I’m surprised he let me get as close as he did.
