We can look back at history and expect doom and gloom always. If we follow your hypothesis, that the dollar will fall. (Which it will someday, but then be replaced by something else) Then take into consideration, 99.9999% of the species that have ever inhabited this earth are now extinct, should we just give up since eventually human kind is going to end too??

BTW the answer is no you don’t give up, you live your life to the fullest and try to get the most out of it.
