ehhh… its only 20 years… that was 1990… its not like he sold it in 1972 and found it in a barn in some hicktown. i tracked two of my dads cars (69 gtx and 70 charger R/T) to the crusher
He bought it new in 1970…sold it off in '90
This is definitely cool. If anyone has experienced a father/son car memory, you will surely be able to appreciate this.
That is sweet…
i wish my old man was into vehicles like me
How did you do that? I’ve always wanted to track down my dad’s '73 dart that he sold in the early 90s
i just meant the car was only sold in 1990…not like he sold it in the early 70’s… a good majority of the cars from the early 70’s stayed around if they made it through the gas crisis and or Rust. his chances of finding a car he sold in 1990 were very good.
the way i did it was knew someone that had dmv access…
Isn’t Walt Laney the Drag Racer from Penn Hills? I don’t know him well personally, but I know people who know him. He looks very different from when I last seen him.
Alot of PITTspeeders know the story of my GTO and how I got it. I appreciate this story completely. If you don’t know the story of my car, then visit here: http://www.akvalley.net/~ss/1966GTO.html or my build thread on here: http://www.pittspeed.com/showthread.php?192191-SixSpeed454SS-s-1966-GTO-project&highlight=gto
Here is a recent photo of it:

^ That kind of stuff really hits home these days since my friend who got me into cars passed away recently.
That’s a great documentation, and what a sweet project car  Makes me want to strip mine down. Plus your buddy’s shop is tits.
Tod, Wow sir, I looked over the build numerous times. The Akvalley has me sold on pure CONGRATULATIONS. I have never seen that link.
Tod, Don’t know how to put into words, Inspiring…
Thanks guys. I need to update my site as to what is going on next. Planning an engine build for this winter if funds allow. Last winter it was transmission rebuild and had the bumpers and other misc stuff rechromed.
Shaggy you didn’t add the beep after your communication
