Places to get rid of scrap metal?

I have a bunch of cast iron engine blocks and sheet metal parts left over from some cars that I’ve parted out. Can anybody suggest a place where I can pull up with a pickup truck full of metal and get rid of it quickly?

two places near by. you have the one junk yard just on the other side of the mansfield bridge. (bridge that dravosburg hill connects with into mckeesport/glassport) when we tow junk cars thats where we go.

and you have tube city right on delwar (which is the road that runs down behind applebees near century square)

I take all my stuff to tube city bihind applebees.

btw, what kind of blocks are you throwing away?

when u do the aluminum one make sure they dont give u the steel/alum combo witch is like $.06 lb instead of alum witch is $.50lb

take a hammer and wack out the sleeves

Thanks for the tip. I have some aluminum heads that I’ll have to strip bare before I take out too.

I have a complete engine (no tranny attached) 2.8L Cast Iron Chevy engine sitting in my driveway in W. Mifflin. If you want to take it with you to the junkyard you can feel free… Maybe you can make some $$ off of it?
