Well I got bored tonight so I decided to polish my intake manifold. Didn’t want to take it off the car right now, so I basically polished above the seam that separates the middle. I think I may leave it like this anyhow because it will be easier to keep up the shine if its only the top.
Then I got even more bored so I cut out a piece of square aluminum, rounded the edges and wet sanded it then polished that too. After taking of my engine cover I always hated seeng that bare botl hole, so I made a little heat shield. Then being even more bored I took the SER badge off my old trunk and stuck it on. Anyhow, what I’m going to do is go to nissan tomorrow and buy a small SER Badge (which will fit teh plate perfectly) and use that instead. I think it’ll look sharp then. Anyhow here are some pics. If you like it, cool, if you don’t, well don’t forget this is a show car and bling counts. 
I’ll post up the final pics when I get it finished. Still have to wet sand some more to take care of some swirls and small spots I missed. But it gives you the basic idea that I was looking for. I also realize that it’s not really a heat shield but I didn’t know what to call it.
