Pondering my options...

As my mid life crisis approaches and I long to recover at least some of the misspent tire shredding days of my youth, I am faced with two options:

  1. Spend 7K turboing my Alty and making a wicked(er) sleeper
  2. spend 12-20K bringing in a JDM Skyline R32 GTR, R33 GT or Supra MkIV next spring and having a proper RWD sports car

Each has advantages and disadvantages. :anal

Would like some opinions, whattaya guys think?

What are you planning to do with the car? Track car or daily driver?

Supra MKIV!!!

If I turbo the Alty, it’s still a daily driver, with some track time on the side (like now). If I bring in a toy, it will be for track days and weekend blasts.

R33 GTS-T would be awesome seeing as it’d be super rare…

…performance wise though go GT-R.

Have a track only car, making a car do both is a really expensive/frusterating when it breaks, and it definatly will at some point

I agree 100% with RS13. I tried that with my Spec V… not working so well.

Buy a G37

Yeah, right, don’t quite have 45K to drop on one of those right now…can barely fit in them anyway.

2JZ !! do the supra

Pick the car you like the best, then pick the engine you like the best then give me a call!!!

2JZ in a GTS25T

2JZin a GTR, RWD

Built RB26 in a GTS-T I already have this. Come test drive this baby, you wont be disapointed!

RWD!!

once you go RWD you will never go back

Yeah, had a '90 240SX that I had bought new, sold it when the babies started arriving in 98. Really miss it.

yes… s13 is a fairly light chassis to go with, and once you add some power to that it becomes quite fun

Turbo the Altima that would be bad ass. Having a nice car comfortable car that goes like hell. I was thinking the same thing as you do I blow $$$ on a TT set up or buy a track whore I spent the cash on the turbo and have never been happier. Turbo the Altima you wont be sorry. Less cars to find parking and storage for less insurance and registration less maintenence costs. I tried the 2 cars deal the extra expenses add up fast. Keep the power moderate and reliability wont be an issue the reliability and drivability of my car is so close to factory its amazing.

I have also been waiting for someone to have the coin to do up a sweet RB30  I have 6 30’s right now.

Or save up more and buy a nobel M15. Thats what I [plan to get when my mid life comes up. Mught have a nobel 25 by then tho with a couple hundred more hp
