apparently there is a big to-do in the industry over where the market is heading.
all the companies like VIVID or other larger companies that were home to some of the 90’s biggest porn stars (jenna j et al) are losing big bucks to the little guys with just a camera and a computer (jacks playground, jules jordan or whatever)
the fixed costs are just no comparison, they call it Gonzo porn i guess.
i for one can see the problem, but i’m lovin it.
you just cant compete with a couple of dudes who put an ad out that they will pay $X for a couple hours of a young girls time.
some of the girls that do this shit are so crazy young and unbeleivably hot… and the fact that they ARE NOT porn stars is sooooo wicked.
they are just 18 - 21 year old super-hotties that would rather fuck in front of a camera to feel sexy instead of working.
Seriously though I was pretty close to launching a site a year or so ago with a current business partner. I’ve got a good friend whos big in to photography and a good friend whos big in to filmography who works for city. Both of these guys have top notch equipment and both have agreed to participate if I were to get involved.
One of my childhood friends whos about 2 years older than me is now one of the major players in the porn industry. He’s got 6 offices around the US, has 2 houses… one in Hollywood and one somewhere in Europe. He’s got 2 ferarris and a lambo and a porche and he doesn’t even have anything to do with production… All he does is banner ads online.
It’s an incredible industry… it really is.

Anyway, I’ve already committed with my buddy whos a fantastic web developer (develops a lot of the big canadian company fancy websites that you see) to start something up with him. I even have a completed business plan, etc. from a year back when we were planning it.
It’s allll good and we had some pretty wickedly creative ideas.
