i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this is not a tech forum. There is too broad a stroke. People do not come here for app specific 1st tier discussions on theory or implementation.

I assume that You all realize that Your traffic will slow, which will bring the “tech people” and “worthy posters” around here less and less often, in turn devaluing the idea of the 90% tech forum. Wonderful cycle. Seenit happen a few times. But, then again, I hear that not everything that I read on the internets is true.

Apply ourselves in Gen Auto You say? Okay, maybe I should really give my comment on threads like “Outback vs a TDi”; “Who can balance wheels around here”; “WHAT A BEAST - Ebay link”; or best of all “What i did while valet parking this truck…”

oh, how about tech threads like: “Battery Relocation”; “What kind of injectors are these”; “Engine Cleaning”; or the all inclusive “Discuss: Brake Boosting”

Again, good luck, I hope that You find true direction with NYSpeed. I’d love for a small, local, non-specifc, all application internet forum to grow into a universally respected 1st tier cutting edge tech forum.

If you knew anything about motorsports, you would see exactly how that video was pertinent. If you’ve ever volunteered and worked a corner at a major racetrack, or as a worker on a rally stage, that video speaks volumes. Hence why it’s in “motorsports videos” .

I was 50/50 anyway, so there was no finger pointing @me when it happened. I think this place is getting out of hand with the “ladder of cool”.

We are going to take away some post count, cause then people with high counts won’t have huge e-cocks. And then some people who are only here for motorsports will look so super cool. Maybe everyone shouldn’t be so concerned about who has posts, who has karma, and who is a waste of space? Why don’t we vote people off the island… that will make everyone happy.

I could give a shit about post counts… but I will remain proud of most of my posts in OT, especially in NWS.

The only thing I liked about the way the post count used to be was that you knew how active the person was on the forum. If you knew the person was there all the time, you would know they would probably be able to help out sometime or might be a better seller in classifieds.

I somewhat agree, but if you have been on here for a while you know who to ask for things and who the big posters are. I dont really post a ton in the auto forums because I read there more than I post. I dont know as much about cars as alot of you and I am totaly lost in some topics…but I’m learning. I’d rather read and not post than post and be completely 100% wrong…especially about cars in a car forum.

Survey says, who the hell cares. I never once paid attention to my post count in the first place, so i dont know what i dropped to or whatever. WHO CARES.

So i guess more posts = more cool, more respected, more credibility? What am i missing here.
