Ill take my current gun

Remington 870 Trap, take both the rifled and the smooth bore barrel.

And find myself a good old AK, being one of the most mass produced weapons, i doubt ill have a problem finding parts and or ammunition. Sure its not all that accurate, but its got a whole hell of allot of stopping power.

And my pops .223

and of course a good ol .22

Because lets face it, no matter how much ammo you have eventually you’re going to run out. Your only real chance against the zombie hordes is to get somewhere they can’t go. I’ve never seen a zombie movie where the fuckers could swim.

This man’s a thinker… but will the trailer be able to roll over the piles of bodies in the streets to get to the landing?

glad to see pistol permit holders in here - I have a hearing for mine in May - applied back in April. NYS sucks.

this was my CT Zombie kit, everything had to go thanks to NY. no CHL permit reciprocation, threaded UK barrel on the G22, along with the 10 round removable magazine, and trigger group being in front of the chamber labeled it a bullpup so too many things on the list labeled it an assault riffle. scrapped the G19 and Walther G22 for an M590A1 for home use until the permit goes through…

here’s some other stuff that’s come and gone.

Not my exact gun but close enough. Couple 15 round magazines. That’s it for now :frowning:

There was a night a while back where a bunch of us watched zombie movies, went through several bottles of wine and had an entirely too detailed debate about surviving the zombie apocalypse.

To answer your question, yeah, I think my 5400lb 4x4 SUV could drag the trailer over the bodies. There was some debate about the launching procedure. The general consensus was to have everyone but the SUV driver in the boat with the guns shooting, boat unhooked except for the front strap that it would be someone’s job to cut at launch. The driver could either dive in and swim if the zombies were coming, or be picked up at the dock if things were clear.

Establish a base camp on navy island, then head over and steal one of those 50+ footers from Smith Boys since chances are it’s owner is now a zombie anyway. That would be our new “home” and we’d have to build some sort of drydock for it for the winter. The current around Navy island would keep that section from freezing (hopefully).

Winter would be good anyways as it freezes zombies.

I have 2 SKS’s one has a bayonet.
Marlin .22
Crack open single shot 12 gauge
semi auto Remington 16 gauge

Walther P22 with 2 clips
Ruger Single 6.
S&W Marksman ? wives revolver

A set of samurai swords, a couple axes, I’d probably make some punji sticks too. All you really have to do is destroy your second story stair case and chill up there.

If zombies can’t detect you they won’t hunt you. Its all about stealth.

start shopping around for a quick release mechanism for the front strap

it’s sketchy to have everyone in the boat, what if you’re going a little too slow? If everyone had a weapon it would be cool.

If you floor it down the ramp (forward direction), I wonder if you could get enough distance into the water to have to boat floating behind you. Just rip the quick release and take-off. driver will need to make a quick exit out of the sinking truck, but it’s better than getting eaten by a zombie.

^ The people in the boat would definitely be armed.

And I’ve been in a vehicle that hit a flooded road at considerable speed before (when I was young and stupid)… they stop REALLY fast. Like fast enough that the boat would probably end up wrecked from flying forward into the truck. Plus it would be nice to have the truck still usable if you need to come back to the mainland for an emergency supply run.
