i was a republican, years ago.

the party left me, just as it left Lincoln Chafee, Jim Jeffords, Christine Todd Whitman, and many other rational people. the republican party is absolutely batshit insane.

If McCain didn’t speak and did not look like the Scarecrow from Batman, I wouldn’t feel so reluctant about winding up on his side.
