i emailed/pm’ed you about some rims too pls
if you could get a few pics of my engine, that would be sweet as i need to know what parts it may be missing
other wise, let’s battle when you return
I picked the ol ceffy up today and seen it in person for the first time after sitting in storge. The car is mint, not a dent on her! The inside is ugly ass brown!!!, but I found another cefiro down the street from us and convinced the wreakers to trade everythign and they said fine not that I need much anyways. The inside will look just as good as the outside when I paint her up! Anyways when I get that done I will post more pictures. I also got my brakes. Nothing speacle just some R33 GTS-Ts so not the brembos I was hoping for but I guess I can always trade for some AP Racings set I got at Home.
kk. I havnt posted in here for a long time. Anyway. The car now has a RB30 in it with RB25 N/A cyl head. I did a shitty ep-rom using maps from a SR20 ECU and calculation it to a 6 cyl as they have the same bore and stroke. The car is now located in Vancouver and once I get a day off I will be out there to drive it back to Lethbridge. Once in town I will be throwing a nice FMIC kit on her and prob a big T3T4 or GT35R. I only have 555 RX7 Injectors in it so that will be the only thing capping me off from getting 500 to the wheels. It should be close though. I will be happy with 425 on street tune and yes I will be daily driving this car!!! I did 5 lug conversion on it aswell when I was in Japan and still need some suspension and tires for some wheels I got lien around. I figure I will toss another 4 grand in it to get it all running good and I still want to take the engine back out and do what I do best with the engine bay. The paint on the car is pretty good accept for the door that got a massive dent in it from the fork lift. OOPS. It will be fixed and re-painted. Anyways. I have 1 more RB30 in the mechine shop that will have N1 pump and new ACL’s and Jun collor and I have 4 more on the way. I want to use this car to show people how easy it is to make power so if your interested I am more than willing to demo this beast. I will have pictures up shortly!
here is the engine. You can see the extra block height. Its just like from going from a 1JZ to a 2JZ. the RB30 is also same bore and stroke as the 2JZ of 86mmx86mm. I still had the factory injectors and turbo in this picture and my timming belt didnt arrive yet. I use a Gates racing belt so I can still use the factory trensioner and idler.
if the rim is 14 inches lip to lip its a 13
each side has an extra .5 on every rim.
I got the car back in my hands today. I picked it up from allied yard and then ran out of gas about a block away so my cousin and I had to push it a km to the gas station to just come to a hill and me buying a jerry can in the end. Ohh well… It ran like shit in Calgary but by the time I got it back in Lethbridge the ECU got used to our gas and elevation and my eprom now runs like a champ. I actually used a SR20 map and calculated it to a 6cyl and ran my base map as that. Set my TPS and idle and I was good to go. A good frond from ausi helped me do all this and was a major help to even get this engine to run. But I just purchased a GT35R from Jason so hopefully I can sell a nut and kidney to finish up an ex mani and down pipe and buy my wastage. I am hoping in the next 2 weeks to get this on the dyno and pull some 450+hp runs. I don’t want to push this engine too hard though as when I threw the head on I only used a factory RB26 head gasket. This engine is just a test to show everyone out there who is interested in them how they feel like and how easily they make their power. I will have pictures posted in a few days once I finish my 5-lug conversion and get the baby all waxed up. Stay tuned!
