Spent the weekend helping my mom get ready to move into her new house, which involved painting a couple rooms. The previous owners were a couple free spirit hippies and thought it was just awesome to paint happy fuckstick sayings like “we are the worlds music makers live happy and sing along” or something equally nauseating along the tops of their bedroom walls. Unsure the best way to cover this (dark painted words being covered by light earth tones) and knowing I didn’t want to deal with shitty Behr paint from the big box stores again I stopped by Schuele Paint on main in Clarence for some advice from ieatpaint.
Left with a couple gallons of Benjamin Moore paint, a gallon of primer, a great cut in brush, several 3/8" nap rollers and other supplies. Everything came out great and what a huge difference working with quality supplies made. I can say I will NEVER buy Behr again after seeing how well the Benjamin Moore went on and how easy it was to work with. Thanks again.
I thought the last sentence in the first paragraph made it pretty clear, but yeah, he works there. He’s also posted in pretty much every paint thread saying so.
i’m scoring really well on my reading comprehension testing for my GMAT so even though i see what you did there i have considerable evidence to support that somehow i am still right in this case.
GD hippies… my uncle bought a house in NM and dealt with quotes all over the walls, doors and bullshit like that. Misspelled & incorrectly quoted even on top of the fake vine stenciling all over everywhere…
One more tip. The house inspector we hired recommended liquid comet for the residue from the decals. He said without it as soon as the paint started to dry the glue would leach through the paint and you’d be able to see the decal. We sprayed each spot down prior to painting and not a single one bled through the 2 coats of paints we put on.
