Props to our resident paint guy, ieatpaint

Spent the weekend helping my mom get ready to move into her new house, which involved painting a couple rooms. The previous owners were a couple free spirit hippies and thought it was just awesome to paint happy fuckstick sayings like “we are the worlds music makers live happy and sing along” or something equally nauseating along the tops of their bedroom walls. Unsure the best way to cover this (dark painted words being covered by light earth tones) and knowing I didn’t want to deal with shitty Behr paint from the big box stores again I stopped by Schuele Paint on main in Clarence for some advice from ieatpaint.

Left with a couple gallons of Benjamin Moore paint, a gallon of primer, a great cut in brush, several 3/8" nap rollers and other supplies. Everything came out great and what a huge difference working with quality supplies made. I can say I will NEVER buy Behr again after seeing how well the Benjamin Moore went on and how easy it was to work with. Thanks again.

Fuckin hippies.

I need some advice painting above a staircase…it isn’t too high where I’d need scaffolding, but high enough where I can’t reach by hand.

so can it be inferred that ieatpaint works at that paint store you went to?

I thought the last sentence in the first paragraph made it pretty clear, but yeah, he works there. He’s also posted in pretty much every paint thread saying so.

That or he is a freeloader in the parking lot that really eats paint.

i’m scoring really well on my reading comprehension testing for my GMAT so even though i see what you did there i have considerable evidence to support that somehow i am still right in this case.

Tup to Mr paint

lol bing.

Yeah, he does some fine work as well, as I have seen personally. Not to mention, pretty stand up guy, really nice.

GD hippies… my uncle bought a house in NM and dealt with quotes all over the walls, doors and bullshit like that. Misspelled & incorrectly quoted even on top of the fake vine stenciling all over everywhere…

That is something alright.

Ryan is a sweet dude.

My dog shit on his rug once. He didn’t care.

HA!

HAHA

One more tip. The house inspector we hired recommended liquid comet for the residue from the decals. He said without it as soon as the paint started to dry the glue would leach through the paint and you’d be able to see the decal. We sprayed each spot down prior to painting and not a single one bled through the 2 coats of paints we put on.

Thumbs up to Ryan! Thumbs down to hippies!

that bed looks a little small for you.

I was going to ask if you took them off or painted over them lol.
I guess this answers that :stuck_out_tongue:
Can’t imagine taking them off would be any fun.

Glad everything worked out so well. Thanks for the kind words, it was nice meeting you and your mama.

The only reason I didn’t care about Paulo’s pup shittin on my carpet was because I knew I wasn’t cleaning it, my g/f was.

I hear the saying on the first pic all the time on 103.3, but i don’t know what it’s from. Assuming a movie lol. It’s probably not that hippie
