Psyco-Clone

good call on the purple wire

upsize that sucker

i checked it where it runs through the engine bay, and theres no burns, or cuts.

its undersized for the amps it carries

i’ll check the cable size when i get home, and see if i cant get anything bigger from Lowe’s

everything i’ve read has said that its not the size of the cable (10 AWG) its the heat from the downpipe that melts it.

either way, when i put the starter on, i’ll check the cable, and wrap both the starter and cable in heat wrap.

i dropped the torque conv. shield to take out my starter, and noticed that i only removed 3 bolts. There is an aftermarket proshaft installed, and i can see why. The original must’ve blew apart hard enough to blow a chunk outta the TC shield. not too worry, its just a chunk, no cracks. and i’m gonna wrap the cable before i bolt the starter back up into place. and it was laying right on the downpipe.

workin 8-10 hours a day, 7 days a week for the past couple weeks, hasnt left much time for the truck.

i have a new grille ordered, and the front cladding is being repaired.

i’m gonna start pieceing together the exhaust this week.

and i have a loose bolt on the bracket, which hold the T-case to the tranny, really hard to get a wrench or even fingers up to grab it.

i have a set of clear corners, and a set of clear parking lights that’ll go on when the cladding and grille go on.

it aint that hard,i can do it with my fat arms

i shoved a pry bar up, and aligned the bracket with the hole in the tranny, and the bolt lined up.

i want your garage

People use a Ford Truck starter solenoid that mounts on the fender instead of the starter. It is cheap and works everytime. My old TY had a major click click start issue. Started everytime but always clicked a few times.

i put a replacement starter in, and wrapped the cable and wires, but i need a heat blanket to wrap the starter, cause the wiring connections on it are real close to the DP.
