Q: anyone interested in getting professional photoshoots don

I have a friend who is a photgrapher who is interested in doing a professional photoshoot of cars in a studio. Like magazine style.
But he was wondering how much would you pay to get some pictures done?

I am just asking on his behalf, can also make a NECC Calendar or just take pics we have already taken and make a NECC calendar.

Just throwing it out there

Lets see his work.

He says:
he has never done a shoot with cars yet, he is interested in and wants to do it. he can show you examples of other work he has done though. he is willing to show samples but cars are on such a larger scale its hard to show the quality.

but besides the photoshoot id be really interested in a NECC calendar with pictures of the nicest cars on the board. of course you have to match them to monthly and i know some of you guys are going to fight over who looks like a july or who liikes like a may.

If he can take pics like this,

I’d be interested.

If he wants to start he should do some research on it. I’ve seen some websites that have some really good writeups on how to shoot cars properly. I’m not much into photography myself, but in the right hands it’d probably be some really good information to have.

I’ll try and find the link(s).

I’ve actually considered setting up a makeshift studio in my garage. Its actually quite difficult to get studio shots for cars. Cars in general are just hard to shoot because they are so static compared to people.

I’m always willing to take pics of peoples cars too. But I don’t want to charge people yet. I’ve got photojournalism experience under my belt, but not a lot of car shoots.

Action shots and studio shots are like apples and oranges… it takes quite a bit more skill to take an action shot like that (IMO)… the only thing that makes action shots easier is daylight. Lighting is EVERYTHING!!

I really like the photos that were took at track day.
Awesome work.
Should make a calendar with them!
