Quartz / Granite Countertops.

Anyone in the south hills or even as far as the strip district sell granite or quartz counter tops? My wife and I will be ready to have out counters templated next week. Rough estimate is for 28 sq. ft. We just want an eased square edge (no ogee or anything fancy).

The longest run is straight and 15.5 sq. ft. with an undermount sink cutout.

I plan on hitting up Magnotti, Walls, Floors, and more, pittsburgh marble and granite, and possibly that concrete place in the strip. I would rather give someone on here the business if possible so if you work at a place that deals in this stuff, let me know by tomorrow morning.

We are most interested in quartz and I think we are leaning toward one of the dupont ones like zodiak. We are damn liberal hippies and I don’t really like that the silestone product has microban added when I don’t really think it’s necessary.

Final note, we are not opposed to remnants if they match decently or can be seamed fairly well. As stated, the longest run is on one wall with the sink, 15.5 sq. ft. There are four other countertop work areas to the left and right of the stove and to the left and right of the sink. I’ll bring the drawings to show what I mean.

Thanks!

chris

Magnotti seems like a good place to start. The only other place that I have seen is on Banksville (on the inbound side) right around Beto’s pizza. Not sure what the name of the place is though.

I don’t know if they specifically do countertops, but Jones Stone & Marble in Rostraver carries granite (about 30 minutes from Brentwood). I’ve only bought some small pieces there for around a fireplace, but the price was decent.

edit:
Didn’t know they had a website. Looks like they do granite and quartz countertops.

dektor marble and granite, located on penn ave in the strip. block or two away from downtown

colucci tile IMO is hands down the best around $$$$$$ though.

they used do some of HD’s work, but you don’t get the selection from HD

thanks! Colucci was almost $1000 more than Magnotti for the same stone. HD has the best prices but only has 10 stones to choose from. I’m going to call this place in the strip and the place in rostraver sounds really promising. Thanks for all of the ideas!
