So for you Rally America gurus… was that a fairly straight stage or do they all look like that? There were not many hard turns at all in that video…

eh, it was relatively high speed i guess but i wouldn’t call it straight. i’d guess compared to other stages it had a lot more 5/6’s and not too many lower speed corners. there was some pretty decent elevation changes though, thats got to be tougher than tight corners.
I’m not too sure…I know Maine is generally a fairly free flowing rally. It’s all logging roads, so they tend to be wider/flatter/straighter.
I’ve driven 4 or 5 of the stages of STPR myself, and they generally seem to be narrower and curvier than the ones in that video…But in-car always has a tendency to make things look slow/straight…
I think Gelsomino was a Co-driver of some fame for a while before hooking up with Block…once you get used to it…his cadence isn’t too bad. He was dead calm and very even throughout the whole video…I can see why Block picked him.
I guess I was talking in relation to WRC…
I cant wait for Rally GB… ill let you guys know the difference when im in Wales in late October, that is if they dont cancel it this year

STPR has long straights like that, but at the end of them is always a hairpin. With trees next to your doors. And a cliff on your side.
Here’s a video of Petter Solberg/Phil Mills in Finland from 2004. It’s more in car with the calls…try and keep up if you can! 
…I think I might have posted this up before, but whatever. It’s a pretty good comparison…Finland is generally considered the “fastest rally on the WRC circuit”
