Random Picture Thread

Yeah I think I metered off the grill. I can’t remember cause that was over a month ago I took the picture. I always forget to meter off bright spots. I’ll keep that in mind on my miata shoot.

Final edit for First Bass

this is me and sunhawk08 at virginia beach, last april

Holty, that R1 looks great with the Repsol scheme, but it makes me cringe to see the bike cinched down that way…very hard on the fork seals.

you must not know yuor bikes so why comment on how its straped down???

Well, it sure looks like the R1 I just had last year…but, you are right, I don’t know Japanese bikes all that well.

edit: on closer look, I just noticed the CBR racing logo. And yes, I know Repsol sponsored Honda years ago, I know who Mick Doohan is, I just don’t watch racing anymore

And, it doesn’t matter what bike it is, that is a bad way to strap a bike down. I have receipts for needless fork rebuilds to prove it. :frowning:

actually it doesnt and the paitn sckeme shoudl be the key. they are known for honda

and thats what canyon dancers are for to tie bikes like that. ive been doing it now for 5 yrs and never once an issue

Well, maybe you don’t think you have an issue, but your fork seals would be much happier if you didn’t pull them down that way.

thtas how they say to do it, and why would a invert fork get ruined by compressing the front forks soem so the bike wouldnt bounce around?

You know… this was a very pleasant thread until this Bike shit started…

Well, now that I have completely derailed the thread, I am just going by what much smarter people (racers and suspension gurus) have told me when I started having problems with my already revalved suspension. I have a canyon dancer strap that I haven’t used in years that I would be happy to give away.

My fault, sorry. I’ll stop posting now since it appears that it’s doing no good. The original pictures were very nice, though.

I actually wasn’t pointing that comment at you…

it doesn’t hurt the seals at all, if any damage is to be had, it will be in the form of sagging springs from extended periods of being tied down. your seals leaked from lack of maintenance. you need to pull the dust seal and clean under it every once in awhile.

05 were you doing anything to get your doing to look that way in the first shot? If not that’s awesome how it just layed there.
