so with HDR do u need to take 3 separate pics?
i have that photomatix software, not sure how to use it lol
You take at least 2, with different exposures. Or take the RAW file and adjust it to 3 seperate exposures then merge them. Photomatix makes them look crazy like that. Photoshop maintains a “real” look to it until you mess with the local adaptation curve.
I dont have a Camera that takes RAW files, and everything else u just wrote went over my head into another room

If it really doesn’t not do RAW, or NEF (nikon) then yes you will need seperate exposures. Just make sure to use a tripod.
I take the 3 shots then use photomatix, though i could just take one RAW photo.

I used to have the same camera. I could of sworn it can do RAW. I loved that thing when I had it. Swivel LCD FTW.
