Question: On an s-13 when you hit the air recirculate button where does it suck air in from?

The intake is on the passenger side under the dash where your feet would be.

After a lot of searching I still can’t find where it acutally sucks air in. Is there a little inlet somewhere or something? Or does it just suck in air behind the dash somewhere hidden?

Little more help please I have a weird project in mind …

Chris, the fan housing is behind the glove box, above the passenger’s feet. The outside air intake is at the top of the housing, above the fan. When you push recirculate, a door swings up from the back of the housing. So the intake is above the fan, between the fan and the firewall.

Thanks again, that is going to be tricky to get at … maybe I’ll take a stab at it next weekend

The air actually being recirculated is coming from a mini cold air intake right in front of the air filter. If you look you will see a pathetic small intake that is probly only there to take up space and to hide the relay panel/fuse box or whatever under it.

I think you misunderstood me. I’m talking about the HVAC system for the passengers. Unless you’re telling me that ‘recirculate’ acutally sucks air from inside the engine bay???
