I got an motherboard with AGP 8x slot. I currently have a Geforce FX5200 256 mb. I’m looking to upgrade. I want to stay with Geforce and at least 256 mb. Any particular brands to get or stay away from and which model?

ati x800 is pretty much the highest you can go with agp i believe

They actually just released the ATI 3850HD in AGP.Runs around $200.
Since you like NVidia i’d keep an eye out for…

6800 series cards…best bet $50-$80 on eBay.
