removing powder coat

what should i use to remove powder coat off of stainless without scratching the finish

aircraft remover which you can find everywhere. Or Eastwood has a powder coat remover ( I haven’t tried this yet, but looks promising)

be careful with aircraft remover. wear heavy plastic gloves, it gives a nice chemical burn.

buffalo refinishing can strip them but if you need it done fast forget about it

its the slide rail off a g17 i wanna strip the PC and polish will the aircraft remover need to be scrubbed off

Aircraft remover is heavy with methylene chloride, ammonia, and alcohol hence the burning and also eye irritation. I usually get as much off as I can then rinse real well with lacquer thinner to get rid of any residue.

Remember very good ventilation, heavy rubber gloves and eye protection too.

i used aircraft remover on my whole car. its not that bad. i just used rubber gloves and i was good to go. its just messy which sucks

acid dip by professional (i believe buffalo refinishing, as mentioned)
