Does anyone have a good method of replacing the shift boot on s14? i tried the pry one of the fasteners, and the tab broke off
you need to grab the trip (and the lether booth) by the end that’s closer to the arm rest. You must pull up on it, so both clips that are there come out at the same time, otherwise you will break one of them.
Kinda hard to explain. I hope you get the idea.
oh, I got the whole shifter boot bezel out no problems. I’m just wondering how you guys replace the boot itself… it’s held on my push on lock washers on the inside of the bezel… I tried to pry and wiggle one out, but just end up breaking the plastic tab
when i got my s14 the dude put a new boot and superglued the boot on to the bezal. looks pretty gettho but you cant see it and held pretty decent
super glued eh… hum… i was planning to break em all off and redrill tiny holes to fit screws over washers
