Rexel Super Tool Day - Advance Notice 8/15 10:30-1:30 (Free Lunch)

So my company has this marketing thing they do. Truck loads of tools show up and we sell them at minimal profit or even a loss to get new customers and people to stop in and see what we can offer. This is a great opportunity for anyone that needs tools. I know that I will be stocking up on some things based on what I know the pricing is. That said I do not have a flyer with all of the pricing or vendors on it. This is for two reasons, (1) they are not finalized (2) We don’t need our competitors in the market bitching at the reps that they were not offered the same discount levels. Also looking over all of the companies we are bringing in, there is more than just tools. There are lighting companies and led manufacturers, networking, batteries, wiremold, wall sensors, bath fans etc. I hear that they are also going to be doing testing on meters so if you have a multimeter that has never been calibrated this is a good opportunity.

What we are offering:
Free lunch

$10 in credit for showing up (some other vendors offer credit for stopping at their booth as well) This equals $35 in credit PER HEAD just for looking around. Say I sell you a Werner Ladder for $100, now it is only $65. UNBEATABLE.

Entry to win a TV, Free swag like 5 gallon buckets, shirts etc…

All you have to so is show up. Tell some friends etc… We had 650 people at the last one in Virginia and my branch has been challenged to do better in our smaller market.

I will update this thread as I get more details on pricing and specific parts etc…

Here are the vendors I have as of today, we are adding more daily:

Also I must stress that this is not just for people in the electrical world. This is great for just about anyone. Our marketing team is targeting all the trade schools as well as Painters, Masons, Pipe Fitters, Plumbers, Auto Mechanics, Highway Maintenance etc…

I actually need some electrical stuff, but I forgot what it was. :frowning:

Great prices on stuff here. PAGING carbonfiberhooded

The day before closing on my house. Would like to try and make it. We’ll see.

The prices on this stuff is lower than I could personally ever offer. I ALWAYS sell product to NYSpeed guys for my employee cost which is 10% over company cost. Some of this stuff is being sold below our cost (kickbacks from the mfg make it worth it) and some for 1-2% margin. Here is an example that I have been referred to several times:

REXEL: Werner 6308 - Step Ladder, Size: 8 ft, Width: 25-1/8", Material: Fiberglass, Load Capacity: 375 lbs - $120 Approximate may be 119 or something close.
Home Depot: - Werner NXT1A08 - 8 ft. Fiberglass Step Ladder with 300 lb. Load Capacity Type IA Duty Rating - $148

We literally pay just under 118 for that ladder and are selling it for about $1-2 in profit.

Let the wife stay home and clean, come get some lunch and ask for me. I have no means of hooking you up outside of what they are offering but it is always good to know more people in the business.

^I actually need a step ladder like that. Might have to swing by for one.

Hmmm…

I am actually enjoying looking through the list of items I know will be available. I ahve to be careful what I relase as I like my job, but I remember a thread about the Streamlight Pro Tac HL…

$66.00 (I did find it on ebay for $65, but with the $35 in credit you get for wandering around the price can drop to $31.00 if that is all you buy!!)

Where is this taking place? Or, should we wait until you release the flyer?

Says on the mini flyer posted originally. It’s on Duke Rd by Derrick in the Small strip plaza. Off walden/Union

The location as it stands is in the vacant office next to mine at 505 Duke Rd 14225… We may be changing that to the parking lot of the Cheektowaga Wegmans that is getting torn down to make way for a Cabellas. We have to get the final approvals from benderson before we decide. The flyer lists it as my office though.

I could use a couple Werner ladders. I’ll bite.

Just curious. Sounds like it could change.

I’ll be honest, I did not see that at first.

Im going to see if I can make it. I do a lot of volunteering for disaster relief construction. and im an auto mechanic so id love to check out new toys… i mean tools.

Interested in the multimeter cal check. Might have to take the trip to buffalo. Not sure if I’ll be in town though

In and subscribed.

Good lord man, listen to yourself. Do you know how dangerous that could be ?!

Right smack dab in the middle of the day huh?? Ill have to blow off work… Ill spread the word for you man. I’m sure Mike Monte knows about it already especially if your offering free lunch. My owner will probably be there too. He likes food and cheap stuff. I will tell a bunch of guys I work with too.

Good luck with Bendersen. I wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire.

Yep, I will be letting the Mikes know soon as well as Ed. The goal was to make it so you could swing in on your lunch, I am not going to see one of these actively running until the first week of August in Pittston PA so I am only going on what I am given. Thanks for spreading the word, this should be good event.

I am not a big Benderson fan either but they have been treating us quite well here. They have actually been incredibly accommodating with our ever growing requests for this project.

No problem! I should be there.
