Rim install

Can someone educate me what this means?

16 X 5.5, 5X114.3, 35-45mm (this is stock spec for a 95 240)

I know this:

16 – rim diameter
5.5 – rim width
5 – bolt pattern
114.3 – ??
35-45 mm – ??

Reason being, I have a set of rims at home.
Specs of the rim at the back says 17 x 7.
Rims were given to me by a friend who had them on an Aucra 3.2.

I’m only using the stock tire iron that came with the car.
So as I’m installing the rim last night, I found that the walls of the tire
iron is too thick. It won’t cover the whole bolt when I’m tightening.
(did that make sense?)

Whoa, I didn’t know Honda has the same bolt pattern as us… cool

Anyway - 144.3 = bolt pattern
- 5 = number of holes/bolts
- 35-45mm probably = offset.

not all honda’s. Accord 4 cyl are 4 bolt while the 6 cyl are 5 bolt.

Just realized that I didn’t make sense.
Sorry.

Ok. So is there a special tool or socket that I would need to
screw that nut in?

114.3 is your bolt pattern. The other one is for offset.

As for your other problem… get a socket/wrench that fits? :dunno: :ugh:

stock 16’s on s14’s are 6.5" wide no?

Yes.

if he gives you lug nuts with the rims, do NOT use them… honda/acura uses a different thread pitch for their studs.

I’m going to use the lug nuts off my car.
I guess the only solution is to find a wrench or socket that
would fit as Alexrod said.
Just never had this problem before with my other cars so
I’m really curious now if the rim will even fit.
