Join us Sunday, February 26th at Six Pockets Billiards Café, 716 E. Ridge Rd. Rochester, NY 14621 for the launch of Rochester Sim Racing.

Our intent is to expand the Sim racing community in Rochester and to provide an environment for Sim racers to meet and compete in head to head formats for cash and prizes…

Sim racing provides the most realistic, racing experience outside of actually driving a car on a track. As much of the physical aspects of real racing, from tire grip, tire and brake temperature, drafting and many more are built into the Sim to provide a true racing experience. It is the extent of this realism that sets racing Sims apart from arcade-type games, adding a level of difficulty often more appealing to racing and gaming enthusiasts.

We will be leveraging the iRacing racing simulator. iRacing offers 26 different vehicles from sprint cars all the way up to the Williams-Toyota Formula 1 car, and with 50 laser-scanned tracks from around the world, there really is no limit to the Sim racing challenges available.

Our goal is to offer an in-house league where members can compete against each other over the course of a ten week season with the added challenge of new cars and new tracks for cash and prizes. Your first beer is on us at the start of each week in February and the start of each season.

Update because several people are asking. We are providing everything. You do not have to bring anything or subscribe to iRacing. There is no charge to you at all to come try this out. We currently have two full race rigs on site with wheels and pedals.

I have seen the Facebook profile and I think it will be great experience to be there, but 26 Feb is reserve for Daytona 500 event. Is there any other date available?

Yes the next 3 Sundays are going to be free trial dates also.
We will have the Daytona 500 at the bar on many big screens and have plans to run NASCAR cars at Daytona on the racing simulator.
Along with different cars on tracks like Watkins Glen, Lime Rock Park, and Road America.
