unreal…i cant think of many other times i saw what started as a 70k car being sold at 300k+ and i dont think its stupid

Well, from what I understand, there is very very little 70k car in there. Mostly a tube frame chassis, just using front end bodywork and possibly chassis bits. So yeah, it’s sorta based on a cheaper car, but only in the way that NASCAR is based on “stock” cars.

i dont like that they got rid of the tradtional CGT shifter placement and center console, when you say sequential i assume its a clutch/tap up/down arragnement? is it a hydraulic sequential ie there are steeringwheel padles/buttons?

Traditional CGT? There was only one CGT, so that isn’t really tradition. If anything the RUF should be following the CTR tradition, which is a normal floor mount shifter anyway. This car has nothing to do with a CGT, other than being Porsche-based.

It’s a fully manual sequential box. Just like a regular box, only instead of the H patten, it’s all up/down. It remains to be seen if a clutch is needed or if it can be up shifted clutchless like a dogring/motorcycle box, just easing off the throttle.

ummm…wow!

I’m going to go against the grain and say I don’t care for the rear window treatment. Other than that…:headbang:

It’s like the louvers that you want for you 5.0 :headbang:

X…

i understand that… but RUF usually utilizes porsche interior bits… i did however read on another forum that this car is based on a cayman not a carrera GT…

who knows…

That interior is fucking sexy.

Yeah, the front end is Cayman/911 and the rear lines somewhat resemble a Cayman. It definitely isn’t based on a CGT.
