Runaway ballon with 6 year old inside

Parenting fail.

And how do you even go about catching this thing now, other than waiting for it to hopefully come down safely on it’s own.

Someone will totally mistake that as a ufo.

This is crazy!

Ohhhhhhh man. How do you even save someone in that position?

It’s not looking good right now because one side is starting to deflate and it’s getting a serious lean. I hope that kid has found a way to secure himself in that basket.

EDIT:

Oh man, the cnn ballon expert just brought up that he doesn’t see a basket, so the kid may be in there breathing helium all this time. AKA, he would have died a long time ago.

It’s not deflating, the Helium is just shifting from one side to the other.

8k Feet!

holyyy

so at what point do they need to worry about oxygen levels?

Totally looks like a UFO hahaha

wow…that thing is cruising! Hate to say it, but i don’t think that kid has much of a chance. And unless the thing is completely sealed, i don’t suffication is an issue. If it’s not sealed, it’s likely circulating a lot of air.

Where is TORQDSS and his hot air balloon experts?

:jawdrop:

I think this thing was over Rochester the other night.

Rescue Ideas:

1.) Helicopter above it, drop a man down to harness the kid outta there.
2.) Helicopter above it, drop a giant fish net to secure it up and drop to safety.
3.) Superman comes out of hiding.

12k feet and they need to worry…they are saying that it is now deflating

holy shit!!! What about hovering over it with a chopper, and or lowering a basket to it?

You can’t put a chopper over it. That would be instant death in the rotor wash…

i wonder how many “UFO SIGHTINGS” will pop up as well today

Pretty sure the downdraft from a heli would make things much much worse.

Looks like it’s getting a lot lower from the live feed.
