Just came into posession of a 86 RX-7 GXL clutch-type LSD that I am going to stuff into my Miata(YAY). Was wondering if any of you could point me in the direction of a rebuild kit, and/or towards a walkthough or have any instructions about the process. Ty.
I’m not sure about that generation (FB), but definitely rx7club.com will have your answers. All I know is the FD Torsen LSD is almost directly swappable with Miatas of the same way.
fyi 86 is a fc chassis…i dont htink he is going to put in a soid axle from the fb era

It takes a different carrier then what would come stock in my car, which I have. There seems to be some disagreement on the threads I’ve read from rx7club whether or not the halfshafts I have will work or if I have to source some different ones.
