Actually I made a post here about removing sealcoat and that was one of the suggestions.
It worked quite well.

^If I had the right stuff, yeah. I don’t have any plastic polish. That’s on my list of stuff to investigate over the winter. I used fine glass polish on dkid15’s 96 civic whose headlights were pretty bad, not that bad, and it made a huge difference, but it still wasn’t perfect.
i can be a tester. if not, i might need a new set of lights.
They make special polishing wheels that you can put on a drill or something and it clears the headlights right up… then you just get some plastic polish on them and you are good to go

i used it to clean the gooey sticker shit off my bike, and it rubbed a bit of the paint away hehe
