have fun sifting through 300 pages,

thanks alot for the help

I’ll save you some time… that S15 FSM doesn’t have the power folding mirrors section. Just look at page 110 in the EL section… it’s just a power mirror schematic.

Get the S14 Silvia FSM and look in there. They have the power folding mirror schematics. It’s also in the EL section page 175.

Here’s the S14 Silvia FSM: http://72.29.75.31/~videof6/manuals/S14_SR20DET_FSM.pdf
(go to page 758 of the pdf… it’s EL-174/175 section)

Bring it to MSSC I just did a 180sx PFM swap so I know whats up with it.

I just did this on my S14… it looks awesome

Cosmetic.

Cosmetic.[/quote]
haha

well, at least the ones I put on now are in prefect shape. These were hardly used. My old ones were in pretty bad shape (mirrors were all chipped and so was the paint).

I’ve been doing some research. And you’re not going to like the results.

The phisical angle of the mirror at the mounting point to the car will make the JDM mirrors almost impossible to use.

Our drivers side mirror sticks out almost perpendicular to the car, where our passenger mirror is angles back about 35Deg. This is the exact opposite on the JDM car. This has nothing to do with any moving part of the mirror and cannot be easily corrected.

I had to take the motors out of my JDM 180x mirrors and put them into my OEM (usdm whatever) mirrors for me to be able to get the correct angles for me to actually USE the mirror.

So, uhm… you may be SOL with the fuctionality of these mirrors unless you’re planning a RHD swap as well.

i’m doin it for just cosmetic lol but yeah even on the s15 diagram for power mirrors the wires on the mirrors match the switch but the switch i have doesnt have the same colored wirs as the mirros and the switch says nissan on the side and it has the power folding mirror button and the normal power m irror switch

Try again in some form of english please?

No kidding the JDM and the USDM switches are different and will not have the same coloured wires. As well you shouldn’t base any of the wiring off the USDM switch. There are only two wires that need to be added to your factory harness and to the switch to make the mirrors fold.

Again. If these are just for cosmetics. That’s stupid because you won’t be able to use the mirrors. You will not be able to angle the mirrors to a position where you phisically see anything on either side of you. That is just plain stupid, to sacrifice safety for “looking” a little more JDM.

DO IT RIGHT OR DON’T DO IT AT ALL.

sorry for the miscomunication. . . . . . i am NOT putting these on a nissan. . . i am putting them on another kind of car and to be honest i can see just fine with the mirrors on my car. . . . but any how the wiring diagram in that file say that the colors of the wires on the switch match the colors on the mirror. . . . but they dont at all.

i have the JDM nissan switch with the power folding mirror switch on it and the JDM power folding mirrors and the wires dont match at all.

thanks in advance for any help
